Accessibility
Art should be reachable by everyone who wants to look. Marchelletta Studios aims to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA, and treats accessibility as ongoing work rather than a finished box.
What we do today
- Semantic headings and landmarks so screen readers can navigate the page structure.
- Descriptive alternative text on artwork images, including medium and dimensions.
- Full keyboard operation for navigation, galleries, cart, and checkout.
- Visible focus outlines and clear, non-colour-only status cues.
- A built-in text-size control (Standard, Large, Larger) in the account menu, plus a light and dark theme for contrast preference.
- Motion kept subtle and reduced automatically when your system asks for less motion.
Known limitations
Some artwork images published before the studio adopted structured alt text carry short descriptions only. A few third-party surfaces — payment fields hosted by Stripe and embedded PDF previews — follow their vendors' own accessibility behaviour, which we do not control. We are working through both.

Assessment approach
This statement reflects our own review of the site — keyboard passes, screen-reader spot-checks, and automated contrast and structure testing. It has not been assessed by an independent third party.
